Hello. Are you struggling to cope with something in your life? Do you feel unhappy or overwhelmed? Do you feel that no one understands or listens to you and you cant see a way forward?
If the answer is yes to any of these questions or you have other problems making your life difficult, perhaps counselling is for you and perhaps I can help.
About me and my practice
I have worked as a counsellor in a variety of settings since qualifying in 2006 and can offer you safe and confidential counselling support.I have experience of working with a wide range of issues including: Abuse, Anxiety, Bereavement by Suicide, Depression/Low mood, Grief & Loss, Health Anxiety, Infertility, Relationship Issues, Resilience, Stress, Work-Related Issues, Worry.
My primary counselling qualification is in the Person-Centred Approach and through ongoing training my practice also draws on other counselling models and theories that can help me support you.
I see the role of a counsellor as one of a compassionate and confidential helper, supporting you to find the best way forward for you, not imposed by me, but discovered from within yourself.
As your counsellor I will always treat you with respect and integrity and will help you gain maximum benefit from your counselling experience. In sessions I will work at your pace and never push you to talk about things you aren't ready to share. I will aim to help you gain insight into your problems and experiences so you can understand and accept yourself. I will then support you to make positive changes in your life.
If you would like to be heard and understood; if you want support from someone caring and non-judgemental; if you would like to change those areas of your life which cause you distress or if you simply want to talk to someone, please get in touch with me.
I offer counselling to adults and couples over 18yrs.
